This project has been funded with the support of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and the City of Edinburgh Council and Summerhall.
A work in progress in collaboration with Morna Pearson.
Bowling greens sit like surreal gems across the whole of the U.K. landscape. Nutshell are currently working in partnership with pupils from Trinity Academy Edinburgh and the Ladies of Dudley Bowling Club on a reminiscence and playwriting project. The girls are also learning to bowl.
In a partnership project with the support of Summerhall, playwright Morna Pearson is drawing inspiration for this work to write an immersive show set on a pop-up bowling green. The show will tour to towns and villages across Scotland in 2021.
A sharing of the work in progress will take place at Summerhall on Friday 24thMay. If you would be interested in coming along please email: firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
HANDFAST By Jules Horne
Double Fringe First winner Nutshell returns with a world premiere in a co-production with The Byre Theatre. The boiler’s broken, the owl with the rings is missing, the celebrant’s late and the band haven’t turned up. Can Mona and Geoff still tie the knot and live happily ever after? This is a wedding you won’t forget. An unmissable evening of ink-black comedy and brilliant performances. https://vimeo.com/285606638
